Pearland Parks and Recreation is proud to present the 30th annual Hometown Christmas Parade!
This festive holiday parade will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 6pm, and is FREE to attend!
The parade will begin at FM 518 & Pearland Parkway and will head west to FM 518 & Old Alvin Road. Be sure to arrive in the area early so everyone can park and get situated before the roads close!
This year’s theme is “The Dance of the Snowflake”, so there will be plenty of fun, lighted floats and classic cars, drill teams, and community folks ready to spread the spirit of the holidays!
There is still time to participate in the parade if you would like to enter as a business, non-profit organization, family, or individual. Floats and walking entries will be accepted at $10 per entry/group. Visit the Pearland Parks website for more information on the rules and to get the Parade Entry Form.
Prizes will be awarded to parade entries in the following categories:
- Best Overall
- Best Use of Lights
- Best Theme ~ “Dance of the Snowflake”
- Best Walking Group
Come join in the merriment and share the joy of the season as Pearland gets ready for Christmas! Santa is set to make an appearance also!
